Help Spread the Word about Summer EBT This Summer!
In June 2024, Vermont announced a new prorgam called Summer EBT. Summer EBT helps families get groceries during the summer break when school meals aren't available. For families who qualify, they will get $120 per eligible child as a one-time benefit to use at authorized grocery stores.
If you are a SNAP-authorized retailer, you will be able to accept Summer EBT benefits, which can be run exactly like 3SquaresVT/EBT at the register. Please consider displaying this sign to let your customers know to support your business with their Summer EBT benefits!

- Meat, poultry, or fish

Receive more than 50% of gross sales from the sale of the above staple foods.
How can I become an authorized retailer?
You will need to apply to the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). The process takes about 30-45 days and involves an application, site visit, and equipment setup.
The fastest way to apply to accept 3SquaresVT is by completing an online application with the USDA-FNS. You can also request a paper application be mailed to you by calling 1-877-823-4369. The packet will be mailed to you within five days.
Please note: You will see 3SquaresVT referred to as SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), which is the federal program name.
